Great progress in creating the maturity matrix during Bratislava meeting
At the beginning of June a new meeting of the project "Floorball fit for future" was held in Bratislava, Slovakia. This meeting tried to continue advancing in the definition of a Maturity Matrix, that allows the different federations to evaluate their situation in order to define the best strategy to advance the development of floorball in their country.
"The 4F project is limited in time to three years and we are halfway through its implementation. In Bratislava, it became clear that we have made great progress in the creation of the Maturity Matrix, however we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us in creating this universal tool aiming at improving the activities of the federation," claims Peter Zamecnik, the slovak member of the project who this time was also responsible for the meeting organisation.
"It is interesting to be part of a project whose ambition is to push the international development of Floorball globally. In the group, we range from Spain, which cannot get floorball recognised as an official sport, to Sweden, where there is a floorball club in every town," says Carsten Provstgaard, Director of Floorball Denmark.
"It is a great opportunity for the association to participate in such a project that make us reflect on our situation, comparing it with that of other countries and looking for new formulas to advance the development of floorball in Spain," says Juan Antonio Roldán, the president of Spanish Floorball Association.
The next meeting is scheduled for October in Germany, although work will continue throughout the summer through online meetings.
