The project continues to make significant strides
In mid-May, representatives from the participating countries gathered in Madrid to advance the "Floorball:Fit For Future" project. The project is now transitioning to the core phase, focusing on supporting less developed federations.
Over the last month the less advanced federations, such as Germany, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia, and Spain conducted a self-analysis using the created maturity matrix. The workshop in Spain involved an in-depth evaluation of the developmental progress of each mentee country and a comparison of the development levels. That was possible because the development scale (graph) proved to be an excellent tool, helping visualize the developmental status of the mentee countries. The workshop aimed to assist mentee countries in prioritizing measures. Therefore, mentor countries like the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Sweden shared their historical developmental approaches, providing guidance for effective sports federation management in the future.
Reto Balmer, Head of Sports Development at Swiss Unihockey, emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge: "We don't have to reinvent the wheel. Each major federation has undergone similar developmental stages. Now it's about sharing our know-how so that smaller federations can navigate these stages more effectively."
