Welcome to the 4F Strategic Development Tools for national sports federations (NA´s)

Over the course of the project two specific key challenges of the Floorball NA´s have been identified:

A) Floorball NA´s are not able to realize how vast and diverse the federation´s scope is (aspects of Floorball development which federation should feel responsible for)

B) Floorball NA´s don´t understand their own position and they are not able to CORRECTLY identify their main challenges:

Without solving A and B there is no chance to develop any national sport federation. The creation of General Strategic Development Tools was therefore stirred by the need to provide help to NA’s with these specific challenges.

Analytical Self-Assessment Questionnaire

This tool is designed to help federations in assessing the state of their development and serve as a baseline for subsequent development strategies. Due to its scope, the Questionnaire is divided into two parts.

The Maturity Matrix

The Matrix is a unique system with scales in operational areas (see the Summary) used to evaluate and compare individual organizations based on comparable criteria as well as identify their strengths and weaknesses (read: more and less developed areas). Based on the complexity of the matrix, a specially designed IT solution was developed.

Development Action Plan

This document primarily focuses on identifying delay causes and less developed areas based on the questionnaire and maturity matrix. More details on how to work with the DAP will be provided in the upcoming weeks.
