What is the Maturity Matrix?
The Maturity Matrix is a comprehensive system consisting of 13 Areas of Operation (AOP), further divided into 35 sections and approximately 160 activities. Each activity serves as the fundamental unit of the system, containing a basic description (general text) and 1-8 developmental phases (levels). An additional phase 0 indicates that the federation is not working on that activity at all.
What do the initial experiences with the application of the Matrix reveal?
The initial practical implementations of the Maturity Matrix in the five 4F mentee countries of the 4F project indicate that the tool enables all floorball federations to clearly define their current position in all areas of the federation´s activity. It helps them identify potential development barriers and establish a systematic and measurable path to accelerate their overall development by formulating their action plan. How does it work?
To access the matrix, your organization must request an account by clicking on the "registration" button on this homepage.
After registration, you will receive access credentials for the tool via email from the project management (please note that this process may take some time). Upon receiving the access credentials, your organization can log in via the "Login" tab on this homepage.
The first step for your organization is to identify strengths and weaknesses in your current management practices and gain a better understanding of the challenges your organization faces. For this purpose, the self-evaluation tool will provide the opportunity to evaluate all activities.
For each activity, the respondent must choose one of between 3-6 developmental levels of answers. Please note that your responses will directly impact the upcoming steps of the project, as they will serve as the basis for setting up a development action plan for your organization.
Once all questions have been answered, you will be able to access your results (e.g. graphs) and select those "weaknesses" that you would like to include in your development action plan.
How the work with the Development Action Plan will be launched in the upcoming weeks.
